Usage Tips
  • Quilters prefer Sulky Polyester Invisible thread instead of nylon because it has a more flexible, soft touch.
  • You can use SULKY® INVISIBLE thread in your bobbin if you wind it slowly.
  • IMPORTANT: Monofilament threads can stretch when wound too quickly and this will affect your thread tension.
  • Winding it fast can cause plastic bobbins to break.
  • Use SULKY® INVISIBLE smoke for darker fabrics and clear for lighter fabrics.

Description

INVISIBLE - The name says it all! It is the ideal solution for embellishing fabrics with strings of sequins, cords or pearls. Use whenever the thread and seam should not be visible. But this particularly fine and yet tear-resistant monofilament made of polyester can do even more. If you use it as embroidery thread for wide-area motifs, you will achieve a great transparent look for your motifs.

Monofilament, what does that even mean? A monofilament consists of a single thread, so unlike other threads, the thread is "single strand". Since this thread is made of polyester, it is transparent and almost invisible.
